An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Responsible for greeting, registering and assigning rooms to guests in a courteous and efficient manner. Issues room keys and advises bell staff.

  • Make players cards and accounts for guests that check into the hotel.

  • Performs tasks outlined on daily checklist accurately and efficiently.

  • Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registrations of guests; shopping, dining entertainment and travel directions.

  • Keeps records of room availability and guests ’accounts.

  • Computes bill, collects payment and makes change for guests.

  • Makes and confirms reservations.

  • Deposits guest’s valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box.

  • Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone, and comps to ledger.

  • Supports and maintains courtesy guidelines.

  • Promotes positive public relations

  • Assuring that guests have a favorable gaming experience.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Use of switchboard with multi lines, Holidex/or reservation computer system, telephone. Credit card, Safety deposit boxes, card key and office equipment.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Previous experience in hotel or motel as desk clerk or reservationist experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information

SKILS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to read and write clearly. Ability to read simple instructions. Ability to complete forms. Basic mathematical functions. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment. Good communication skills.

GUEST RELATIONS

  • Always maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude. Have complete knowledge of all events and promotional activities and facilities available to guest
