Job Summary: The Manager oversees daily operation of Lift Maintenance department. Supervises and directs activities of Lift Maintenance team.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  1. Ensure customers are treated courteously, safely and efficiently.

  2. Responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of Lift Maintenance department.

  3. Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadow’s policies and applicable laws.

  4. Supervisory responsibilities include but not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  5. Performs or assists direct employees in performing duties as well as providing training or coaching as required.

  6. Responsible for creating and maintaining timecards, budgets, maintenance and staff schedules. Responds to emails and attends related meetings as needed.

  7. Manages project and maintenance deadlines.

  8. Determines work priorities, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.

  9. Assigns duties and examines work for safety, exactness, and conformance to policies and procedures.

  10. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of the Lift Maintenance department.

  11. Responds to customer and management complaints while providing explanations or solutions.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

  1. Ability to perform and understand all Lift Maintenance duties.

  2. Good leadership, customer service, communication and organizational skills.

  3. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals, spread sheets, ANSI B77 code, and legal documents.

  4. Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

  5. Ability to effectively present information to management.

  6. Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts and drew valid conclusions.

  7. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Experience/ Education

Required:

  1. Minimum of 5 years experience in Lift Maintenance or related experience.

  2. Minimum of 2 years experience in supervisory position.
